Help Us End Racial Profiling
On November 1-5, 2021, OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates and Asian Americans Advancing Justice - AAJC will launch a week of action focused on the racial profiling of Asian Americans and Asian immigrants. We invite you to join us as we conduct legislative visits and push for an end to the government’s profiling of scientists, researchers, and scholars of Asian descent.
Why should you care?
This resurgent xenophobia has created enormous fear among our communities as we see teachers, friends, and family members being stigmatized as “perpetual foreigners” and profiled as spies in a country they call home.
That’s why we’re calling on the Biden administration to take action to address the racial profiling of Asian Americans and Asian immigrants and for Congress to exercise oversight of federal agencies to stop using race, ethnicity, or ancestry as a basis to investigate scientists, researchers, and scholars of Asian and Chinese descent.
We need your help to contact offices of federal lawmakers representing the states filled in red below: Tennessee, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Georgia, and Indiana
