Washington, D.C. — OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates applauds the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) on the release of its report to promote equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

The strategy is a coordinated effort across the federal government to address both immediate challenges and systemic inequities impacting AANHPIs. With 32 agencies represented, includingall 15 executive departments in the President’s Cabinet, the plan represents the Biden Administration’s commitment to collaboration and advancing racial equity.

“We commend the President and Administration on taking concrete steps to address inequities that the AANHPI community faces. The strategy and report are clear and intentional in progressing the social, economic, and political well-being of AANHPIs,” said OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates National President Linda Ng.

“The launch of this strategy, and the positive impact it will have on our country, is also a testament to the importance of having AANHPI representation in our government,” said OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates National Executive Director Thu Nguyen. “We look forward to working with the WHIAANHPI and Biden Administration in the coming years to fulfill the work of advancing equities for the AANHPI community.”
