Washington, DC - OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates will host a National Rally in honor of Angelo Quinto and Christian Hall. This one-hour rally will take place on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 5PM ET/2PM PT.

In December of 2020, the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community suffered two losses. Angelo Quinto (age 30) of Antioch, California, and Christian Hall (age 19) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, were killed in times of crises by police officers who were not trained to facilitate mental health responses. This National Virtual Rally will bring together AAPIs from across the country to honor the lives of Angelo and Christian, and to call for justice and an end to police violence.

Speakers will include OCA National and chapter leadership, representatives from both Angelo Quinto and Christian Halls’ families, the Justice for Angelo Quinto Coalition, and the Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance. To RSVP, please visit: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_DsKWw_oESW-qPGIFHBXtYQ. The link for the Facebook event is here.

If you, your family members, someone you know, or community members have experienced xenophobia, discrimination, or harassment, please report the incident using our hate crime reporting tool at aapihatecrimes.org.

OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national civil rights organization dedicated to improving the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs).
