In recognition of the traditional Asian Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, OCA-APA Advocates (OCA National) and OCA-Greater Washington DC Chapter (OCA-DC) are hosting an event on September 29 from 11-2PM in Rayburn HOB 2044 (B339). This event will be a time to gather and celebrate the many tremendous contributions of leaders in the AANHPI communities including leaders in Congress and from the community. We plan to offer cultural programming during our luncheon to celebrate the richness of the arts as well as highlight the importance of education around the AANHPI history and experiences including efforts from the community such as OCA’s national efforts. We are also excited to launch our compilation of emerging ideas to address key issues faced by the AANHPI communities collected from community and local leaders who attended the 2021 OCA-DC Policy Summit. We will have Congresswoman Meng and Congressman Sarbanes as our keynote speakers. This will be a time to gather leaders in the AANHPI community as well as celebrate the next generation of youth through arts and culture.
