All are welcome to apply. Students of South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander descent are encouraged to apply. All summer internship placements are in Washington, DC.

Requirements:

1. Current full-time undergraduate student (seniors are eligible)
2. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
   
3. Demonstrated interest in social justice, APA issues and public policy
4. Excellent oral and written communcation skills
5. Commitment to work for a minimum of 10 weeks between the dates of May 24th - August 13th
   
6. Completed Application Package (together in one package)

• Application Form
• Resume including extracurricular activities
• Academic transcript (unofficial is fine)
  
• One-page essay (12 pt, single spaced, about 500 words) about why you are interested in participating in the OCA Internship program and what you can contribute
• Exactly two letters of reference  

Stipend:
Fall, Winter, and Spring - Based upon available funding and financial need

Summer - $2000-$2500 for 10 weeks of full-time work based upon available funding.

Procedure:

1. Internship committee will review applications. 
2. Telephone interview may be scheduled.
3. Accepted interns will be notified by April 30, 2010.
